Growing, Growing, Gone....

The belly is growing and growing...and yes, the tan is long gone.

While I'm sure most of you are doubled over (for one reason or another....hopefully laughing and not something worse) from the sight of these pics, part of me felt the need to record it for posterity. Just try not to look too closely at that belly button. It's scary.

But on the upside, the baby is healthy, head down, and she is quite the little kicker. David and I toured the birth center at Chandler Regional the other night, and the facilities seem pretty nice (for a hospital...). This Friday will be my last OB appt. before my due date...crazy! And last weekend, the Chandler Fire Dept. re-installed my infant car seat in the car. I now have two car seats in the back of my car, and all those Eddie Bauer mirrors so you can see your kids in the backseat at every possible angle. Hello?!?!?!?!? I am officially driving a mom-mobile. Help...

And to make things worse, I was talking to a girl working at the Clinique counter today who just had her second child. I asked her, "So...how was the transition from one kid to two?" Her reply has haunted me all day! She simply said, "Well, honey...you seem nice, and I don't want to scare you right now. But good luck!" Thanks, lady. Sheesh. It's all downhill from here.....

All belly Kim! You still look like a hot mama! That cracks me up about the Clinique girl's comment. I probably would have said that same thing, but on the up side, it gets easier. The first few months are rough, but at least you know what you are doing this time. :-) Now that my Sophia is almost a year old, watching my girls play together is so unbelievably fun! Julia loves having a full time friend in the house, and I love having TWO pretty, little girls to play with! One is blessing enough, but two is so fun!

You look amazing!!! I had Brooklyn at Chandler Regional and loved it. The nurses and everyone are so nice and really take care of you and your baby. I love how big the rooms are too:) Although it is a new experience having 2, it is also tons of fun. After the first couple months you will start realizing that it gets easier and that when you thought 1 was hard taking places...2 kids just seems natural over time. Having a double stroller has helped out tons!!! I love having 2 girls and Ava will adore her little sister.

OH very exciting. I will keep checking for the update. My sister has 5 kids and is 2 years older than me. She said going from 1 to 2 was nothing, it was going from 2 to 3 that she was stuck in her car crying before she could get out because she didn't know how to get 3 kids out. I think you'll do great with two and we will still have our sanity. Good luck! :)

I don't know about everyone else, but I was looking at the evolving hair-dos! Who knew you could have so many different hairstyles in 9 months? :) We can't wait to meet baby #2 - it's really not that bad. Ava will mold into her new roll as Mommy #2 very well.
